About Us

Panlipi

Panlipi was born from a desire to create something meaningful.

In 2021, during the uncertainty of the pandemic, many skilled artisans in the Philippines found themselves without work. At the same time, there was a growing appreciation for the country’s rich weaving traditions—patterns, techniques, and stories passed down through generations.

Panlipi brought these two worlds together.

Each strap is handwoven by Filipino artisans, using traditional methods that celebrate heritage, craftsmanship, and identity. No two are exactly the same. Every pattern carries history. Every piece represents the hands that made it.

These aren’t just accessories—they’re a way to keep culture alive, support communities, and bring something genuinely unique into the hands of musicians around the world.

Panlipi UK × PJD Guitars

We discovered Panlipi through a shared appreciation for craftsmanship and individuality—values that sit at the core of what we do at PJD Guitars Custom Shop.

Based in the UK, PJD has built a reputation for creating distinctive, high-quality instruments for players who care about detail, feel, and originality. When we came across Panlipi, it immediately resonated.

The same attention to detail.
The same respect for tradition.
The same desire to create something that stands apart.

We’re proud to work closely with Panlipi to bring these straps to the UK—making them more accessible to players here while supporting the artisans behind them.

As the UK distributor, our goal is simple:

To connect musicians with something that feels different.
Something with character.
Something with a story.

More Than a Strap

In a world of mass-produced gear, Panlipi stands for something else.

Each strap is:

  • Handwoven, not printed
  • Made in small batches
  • Rooted in culture and tradition

It’s a small detail—but one that can completely change how your instrument feels, looks, and connects to you.
